Raise your standard of living,
not your impact.
Educating future generations.
The S.O.L. (Sustainable Organic Living) Projex Foundation is a Hawaii-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit education, restoration, and research center rooted in regenerative land stewardship.
We are cultivating a Living University, inspiring and educating future generations through agricultural practices, local material research, natural building education, and hands-on demonstration.
We explore how to work with the land in life-sustaining ways: from invasive species utilization and forestry-product processing to biodynamic gardening, organic food preparation, and ecological restoration.
Together, children and adults learn and guide one another, cultivating a purposeful, intentional relationship with land and place.
Designing in harmony
with nature.
S.O.L. Projex explores regenerative design through local materials, invasive-species utilization, natural building education, and hands-on demonstration.
Through milling, drying, preservation, biochar, wood-fiber research, breathable wall systems, and low-toxicity finishes, we study how locally sourced forestry products can become healthier, lower-impact building materials.
Our focus is the full life-cycle of research, restoration, demonstration, and education: transforming invasive biomass and local resources into useful materials while supporting ecological repair, soil building, and island resilience.
Restoring the environment and utilizing sustainably harvested local materials to reduce
the impact of building a home.
Milling is a core part of our work. With an efficient portable mill, we utilize the abundance of invasive trees here on Kauai by transforming them into locally sourced forestry products while restoring the natural habitat and sequestering carbon back into the soil.
This is an opportunity to inspire and educate on forestry-product processing, invasive-species utilization, and ecological restoration. By resourcing what is already here, we reduce reliance on imported materials and support island resilience through regenerative agricultural and land-stewardship practices.
From garden to table.
Our focus begins with soil, remineralizing and soil building for optimal fertility and vibrance. True wealth begins first with soil health. Food is our vital life force, it is living medicine. We are here to explore and share the many opportunities for health and vibrance that comes right from our gardens. Not only is it medicine and vitality, it is a means of reconnecting with one another and sharing culture and tradition. We care for the land, and in turn the land cares for us in a symbiotic relationship.
Support the vision, empower change.
Over the past 7 years we’ve dedicated our lives to regenerating the land and supporting our local community. Now that we have been granted 501(c)(3) status, we’re seeking your support to fund the next phase of invasive-species removal, jungle and riparian corridor restoration, and wood-products research.
Coming together for a better tomorrow.
As we circle together to co-create and call in the UNITY in CommUnity, we in-power, inspire, and awaken one another bringing us into our full potentiality.
Join our mission to create a brighter future
One person can make a change within oneself, and together we have the capacity to transform the planet to truly thrive once again. The time is NOW! Let us be driven from the heart where there are no limits and no boundaries to what we can create.
Support our Lahaina, Maui Tiny Home Build
We designed, built, and delivered a tiny home built from reclaimed invasive tree species to a family in Maui that was displaced by the Lahaina fire. Donate today to help us fully fund the project!
